Ancon Clamp-On Column Tie - 125mm Long by Ancon - A Leviat Brand

- Description
The Ancon Clamp-On Column Tie is designed to clamp onto the flange of a steel column, providing a secure connection between masonry walls and steel structures. It accommodates steel flange thicknesses from 6mm to 25mm and should be installed at 225mm vertical centres. The tie is available with two configurations: a drip feature for use across cavity walls to prevent moisture transfer, or a plain shank for installation into the inner leaf.
The Clamp-On Column Tie is supplied right-handed as standard, with a left-handed version available upon request. Its design makes it ideal for securely fixing masonry to steel without the need for drilling or complex fixing systems. Manufactured in lengths to suit specific project requirements, it provides flexibility for a variety of construction applications.
Corrosion Prevention:
In damp environments where stainless steel fixings are in contact with mild steel frames, bi-metallic corrosion may occur. While the corrosion won't affect the stainless steel, it can cause surface rust on the mild steel. To prevent this, it is best to isolate the two metals by applying a coating such as bitumen paint or an adhesive tape at the point of contact.
