The Ancon HRT4 200mm Long Wall Tie is a light-duty Type 4 tie, designed for use in cavity walls with cavity widths between 50mm and 75mm. It is manufactured from stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance and durability. The tie connects the inner and outer leaves of masonry in domestic buildings up to 10 metres in height.

The HRT4 is also used for internal separating walls (party walls), where it meets the requirements of Approved Document E for resistance to sound transmission. It is suitable for traditional masonry and thin-joint blockwork construction, ensuring acoustic resilience and thermal stability. Each wall tie is designed to be built into bed joints, with at least 50mm embedment (recommended minimum 62.5mm) in both leaves of masonry. The standard installation rate for these ties is 2.5 ties per square metre, and they should be installed in a staggered pattern.
