The Ancon SDB 175mm Frame Tie with Drip is designed for providing effective lateral restraint between masonry and structural elements like steel or concrete frames. The drip feature prevents water from crossing the cavity, giving protection against moisture ingress. With a length of 175mm, this frame tie is designed for cavity widths of 95-120mm.
Made from premium stainless steel, the SDB Frame Tie offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability, ensuring long-lasting performance in demanding environments. Its 7mm diameter hole accommodates M6 expansion bolts for concrete and self-drilling screws for steel. Each box contains 250 ties.
Installation Instructions:
- Install with the drip pointing downwards, centrally located in the cavity to prevent water ingress.
- Ensure the outer leaf is kept one course lower during installation to avoid mortar contamination.
- Minimum embedment of 55mm into the outer masonry leaf is recommended.
