ARC Eco-Closer products seal the cavity around window and door openings, replace return blocks and slash cold bridging—while adding certified fire protection. Both profiles combine a rigid PVC-U body (which doubles as a DPC) with non-combustible rock-fibre insulation and hold full IFC certification.

• Eco-Closer – fits cavities 50 – 150 mm; delivers up to 60 minutes fire integrity. 

• Eco-Closer Plus – tackles wider cavities 150 – 300 mm; provides up to 120 minutes fire integrity.

• Both ranges prevent surface mould, aid Part L compliance (λ 0.037 W/m·K) and improve Part E acoustic scores.

Three-step installation

1. Cut to height (2400 mm stock length) with a fine-tooth saw.

2. Fix to frame using staples or fixings & fasteners; PVC-U flange sits tight to the inner leaf acting as DPC.

3. Build in the outer masonry leaf, keeping 10 mm insulation overlap for continuous thermal line.

Do I still need a separate DPC?

No—the PVC-U back flange fulfils DPC requirements around reveals. 

Can I bend the closer to form arched heads?

Eco-Closer will flex gently to shallow curves; for tight radii contact us for factory pre-formed segments.

How do I maintain the fire rating on site?

Ensure joints are tightly butted; seal gaps >5 mm with intumescent acrylic. Do not compress insulation more than 5 mm.

Is it suitable for timber-frame walls?

Yes—Eco-Closer can be ordered in a timber-to-timber variant; lead time typically five working days.
