Everbuild Opti-Mix Concentrated Mortar Plasticiser 1L by Sika / Everbuild

The Everbuild Opti-Mix Concentrated Mortar Plasticiser is a highly concentrated air-entraining liquid admixture designed to enhance the workability of mortar mixes. Supplied in a 1-litre bottle, it is 25 times the strength of conventional plasticisers, making it both efficient and economical.

Key Features:

• Enhanced Workability: Forms extremely stable air bubbles within the mortar, imparting a "buttery" consistency that improves application and finish.

• Shrinkage and Crack Prevention: Helps prevent shrinkage, cracking, and crazing during the curing process, leading to more durable mortar joints.

• Frost Resistance: Provides mild frost protection during curing and long-term resistance to freeze/thaw cycles.

• Efflorescence Reduction: Replaces the need for lime in the mix, thereby reducing the risk of efflorescence (salt formation) on mortar surfaces.
  
  

Applications:

• Ideal for use in pointing mortars, renders, screeds, and bricklaying mortars.

Usage Instructions:

1. Dosage: Use 5–10 ml of Opti-Mix per 50 kg of cement.

2. Mixing: Shake the bottle well before use. Squeeze the sides of the bottle to fill the measuring cup to the required dose. Add the measured plasticiser to a bucket of water and stir thoroughly. Dry mix all other ingredients, then add sufficient quantities of the water/plasticiser solution until the desired consistency is achieved.

3. Note: Do not add Opti-Mix directly to the dry mix; always dilute into a portion of the gauging water first.
