Five-step installation checklist
Check cavity width—socks must compress 5–10 mm for an airtight seal.
Keep the sleeve intact until the barrier is in place; tear along the score to expose flanges.
Staple or nail flanges to studs or inner leaf at 300 mm centres.
Butt joints tightly; never leave gaps—cut a small off-cut if needed.
Link to DPC & trays—run the polythene sleeve under the damp-proof course or use Visqueen High-Bond DPC for self-adhesive upstands.
Complete vertical runs with Invisiweep A1 weep holes to maintain cavity drainage.

Do I still need cavity closers at window reveals?
Yes—pair socks with ARC Eco-Closer Plus for thermal and fire performance.
Can socks bridge across movement joints?
No—stop 10 mm short each side and close the gap with ARC TCB Movement Clips (call to order).
What about acoustic performance?
ARC Party-Wall Socks deliver ≥67 dB DnT,w + Ctr when used with mineral-wool slab and 13 mm plasterboard both sides.
