  • Description

The ARC Fire Stop Slab FFB140 is designed for a 140mm external wall cavity at compartment wall and floor slab junctions in medium and high-rise construction. Each slab measures 145 x 100 x 1200mm and the pack contains 18 x 1200mm lengths. A fully tested, IFC-certificated linear fire barrier (IFCC 1731), it achieves up to four hours of fire integrity both horizontally and vertically when tested to EN1366-4.

Manufactured from non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool with Class O reinforced aluminium foil facing on both sides (thermal conductivity 0.035 W/mK), the Fire Stop Slab FFB140 is compatible with SFS (steel frame system), masonry and A2-rated sheathing board substrates. A 5mm compression fit is recommended. The slab can be trimmed on site for a precise fit or ordered factory-cut to specification, making it particularly suited to locations where space at floor slabs is restricted.

    Key facts:

    • Nominal cavity width: 140mm
    • Slab dimensions: 145 x 100 x 1200mm
    • Pack of 18 x 1200mm lengths
    • Third-party certificated by IFC — certificate number IFCC 1731
    • Up to four hours fire integrity, horizontally and vertically (EN1366-4)
    • Class O reinforced aluminium foil facing on both sides
    • Non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool — thermal conductivity 0.035 W/mK
    • Compatible with SFS, masonry and A2-rated sheathing board
    • 5mm compression fit recommended

    Installation info:

Cut the FFB140 slab to achieve a minimum 5mm compression within the 140mm cavity. Mechanically fix using minimum 50mm masonry screws where required by specification. Butt lengths tightly together — no tape or mastic is required for fire performance. Ensure all joints are free from gaps before proceeding.
