ARC T-Barrier Timber Frame

The ARC T-Barrier Timber Frame is a T-shaped rockfibre mineral wool cavity barrier specifically designed for timber frame construction, sealing the external cavity at the party wall junction to comply with UK and Irish Building Regulations. It is fully tested and third-party certificated by IFC (certificate number IFCC 1728), delivering up to one hour of fire integrity to EN1366-4.

The distinctive stalk design positions the barrier precisely at the party wall junction, sealing the external cavity and providing a continuous fire break across the full width of the wall assembly. Manufactured from non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool (thermal conductivity 0.037 W/mK), the T-Barrier Timber Frame can achieve a zero U-value at the party wall — making it up to three times more effective as an edge seal than conventional party wall barrier systems. Polythene flanges on each side allow integration into the vapour control layer. No mechanical fixings are required. Products are supplied in 1200mm lengths and are available in party wall cavity widths from 50mm to 100mm and external wall cavity widths from 50mm to 100mm.
