Visqueen Zedex CPT High Performance DPC

A standard polyethylene DPC copes with most housing—but add retaining walls, deep cavities or aggressive gases and you need something tougher. Visqueen Zedex CPT is a 0.8 mm co-polymer thermoplastic damp-proof course and cavity-tray system that outperforms pitch-polymer and PVC alternatives without any hazardous additives. It’s BBA-approved, radon-resistant and stays flexible even in winter, so you can fold it round quoins, lintels and stepped trays with ease.

Installation essentials

1. Support wide rolls (>450 mm) with DPC fixing strip at 450 mm centres.

2. Lap 100 mm minimum; tape with butyl where gas-tightness is required.

3. Keep the drip mid-cavity and insert full-height weep holes at 450 mm centres above every tray.

4. Protect from UV – close masonry the same day or cover with heavy-duty protection sheet.

5. Above 18 m façade? Upgrade to Visqueen Non-Combustible DPC to satisfy Regulation 7(2).

Is Zedex CPT compatible with bitumen membranes?
Yes—bond to torch-on or self-adhesive membranes with a 150 mm overlap and butyl tape.

Can it be used in parapets that will be torch-on capped?
Absolutely; just terminate with a 150 mm upstand and lap under the Visqueen Torch-On Tanking Membrane.

Does it need primer?
Only on dusty concrete—otherwise bed it in fresh mortar.
