Eaves Insulation

The eaves junction is one of the most significant sources of heat loss in a traditionally built home. Where the ceiling insulation meets the wall plate, a gap in the thermal envelope allows warm air to escape and cold air to infiltrate — a problem that standard loft roll cannot reach without blocking the ventilation path required at the eaves. Eaves insulation products bridge this gap, providing continuous insulation from the loft floor to the wall plate while maintaining the airflow needed to prevent condensation in the roof space.

Spechunter stocks the ARC Eaves Insulator range, which uses a rigid ventilation tray combined with non-combustible glass mineral wool to insulate the eaves zone in a single operation. Products are available for new build and retrofit applications, covering standard rafter centres of 400mm and 600mm. All are Part L compliant and compatible with ventilated fascia and soffit systems. The retrofit versions are designed to be installed from inside the loft without removing tiles or fascia boards, making them well suited to EPC upgrade works and social housing programmes.
