Obex CORTEX EPDM membranes are the industry benchmark for interface sealing in the UK building envelope. Made from ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), they combine exceptional flexibility, outstanding UV resistance and a service life measured in decades — making them the first choice for specifiers working to Passivhaus, Part L and BS EN 13984 standards.

CORTEX EPDM is available in seven thicknesses to suit every application:

• 0.5mm – ultra-flexible, ideal for rebated reveals and tight details
• 0.6mm – general-purpose interface sealing
• 0.75mm – the most popular grade; available plain or with pre-applied butyl adhesive strips for fast lap joints
• 1.0mm – heavy-duty façade interfaces and balcony upstands
• 1.2mm – high-performance exposed details
• 1.5mm – maximum durability for flat roofs and parapet cappings
