Why builders pick Visqueen Polyethylene DPC

  • BBA Certificate 94/3009 – complies with BS 6515 for use as a damp course in masonry walls.

  • Flexible at low temperature – won’t crack on frosty mornings.

  • Excellent puncture & tear resistance – survives scaffold lifts and brick arrises.

  • UV-stabilised black film – short-term exposure won’t embrittle the sheet.

  • Budget friendly – ideal when non-combustibility isn’t required (for façades under 18 m).

Pair with Visqueen Double-Sided Butyl Tape for watertight 100 mm laps.

Installation essentials

  1. Support large widths (>450 mm) with Fixing Strip at 450 mm centres.

  2. Lap joints 100 mm; bond with butyl tape where gas-tightness is required.

  3. Protect from UV – close masonry the same day or cover with HD protection sheet.

  4. Insert full-height weep vents at 450 mm centres above every cavity tray.

  5. For buildings above 18 m upgrade to Visqueen Non-Combustible DPC to meet Regulation 7(2).
