ARC Spandrel Barrier

Stop fire racing up the gable … before the scaffold even comes down

Where a pitched roof meets an external wall, the cavity continues all the way to the verge unless you close it. ARC Spandrel Barriers push-fit into that awkward wedge, delivering a certified line of defence against fire, smoke and sound transfer in seconds.

  • Euroclass A1 mineral-wool core with white polythene sleeve – no added fire load, weather-safe on site.

  • 60 minutes fire integrity & insulation to EN 1366-4, third-party approved (IFCC 1727).

  • Lambda 0.037 W/m·K: tackles the thermal bridge at the roof–wall junction, easing SAP calculations.

  • Works with masonry walls and panelised timber or light-steel spandrel panels.

  • No fixings – compression holds the barrier until the outer leaf is completed.

How to install – three quick steps

  1. Measure & cut – 1.2 m lengths trim with a hand saw; keep joints tight.

  2. Compress & insert – push the barrier into the sloping cavity until the sleeve sits flush with the inner leaf. Maintain 5 mm compression.

  3. Butt & seal – tight butted joints are fine; gaps > 5 mm get a mineral-wool off-cut or intumescent acrylic.

Pair with ARC Cavity Stop Socks at floor lines and ARC Party-Wall DPC Horizontal where separating walls meet the roof.
