ARC Fire Stop Strip

The ARC Fire Stop Strip is a push-fit linear cavity fire barrier designed for horizontal joints in masonry and concrete construction, including the tops of masonry walls under soffits, expansion joints, and junctions between ceilings and partition walls. Made from non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool, it achieves up to four hours fire integrity in both vertical and horizontal applications when tested to EN1366-4, and is fully third-party certificated by IFC (certificate number IFCC 1732).

The strip requires no adhesive, mastic, or mechanical fixings — it is pushed into the void to create a friction fit, making it one of the fastest passive fire protection products to install. Products are available in 100mm width and gap sizes from 10mm to 75mm, suitable for low-rise and high-rise projects alike. No separate certification is needed at the design stage for standard masonry details; the IFC certificate covers the tested configuration directly.
