Standard loose-lay DPCs can slump before you’ve laid the next course; Visqueen High-Bond has a factory-applied bitumen-polymer adhesive that locks the sheet to concrete, steel or masonry the instant you peel the release film. Installation essentials

  1. Prep – brush off laitance; damp is fine, standing water is not.

  2. Position – peel back 300 mm of release film, bond the sheet, then work along the run.

  3. Lap joints 100 mm; roll firmly with a silicone hand roller.

  4. Angle changes – warm the sheet with a hot-air gun and dress tight; seal with Visqueen Pro Detailing Strip if needed.

  5. Protect – backfill or brick-up the same day, or cover with Visqueen Protection Board.

Link vertical tanking to horizontal slab with Visqueen Torch-On Membrane for a continuous waterproof grade-3 barrier.

FAQs

Is primer ever required?
Only on dusty blockwork or steel—use Visqueen HP Tanking Primer.

Radon & methane barrier?
Yes—when fully taped High-Bond provides ≤1 × 10⁻¹² m²/s radon permeability. For severe gas sites upgrade to Visqueen GM Membranes.

Service penetrations?
Wrap with High-Bond, then seal with Visqueen Pro Detailing Strip and butyl tape.
