ARC Fire Stop Slab

The ARC Fire Stop Slab is a linear cavity fire barrier designed for use at compartment wall and floor slab junctions in medium and high-rise masonry construction. Each slab consists of non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool with a Class O reinforced aluminium foil facing on both sides, achieving up to four hours fire integrity both horizontally and vertically when tested to EN1366-4. The range is fully tested and third-party certificated by IFC (certificate number IFCC 1731), making it suitable for use in buildings covered by Approved Document B and Scottish Technical Handbook Section 2.

Slabs are available in cavity widths from 50mm to 130mm, with physical dimensions to suit standard masonry cavities. The 5mm compression fit means no adhesive, mastic, or mechanical fixings are required — the slab is simply compressed into place as the brickwork is laid. Factory-cut-to-specification options are available where space at floor slab level is restricted. All products in this range are compatible with SFS (steel frame system), masonry, and A2-rated sheathing board substrates.
