The ARC Fire Stop Strip FSS100/40 is designed for gaps up to 40mm in 100mm masonry or concrete construction. Each strip measures 40 x 100 x 1200mm and the pack contains 50 x 1200mm lengths. A fully tested, IFC-certificated fire barrier (IFCC 1732), it achieves up to four hours of fire integrity in both vertical and horizontal applications when tested to EN1366-4.

Manufactured from non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool (thermal conductivity 0.035 W/mK), the Fire Stop Strip FSS100/40 is suited to both low-rise and high-rise projects. No adhesive, mastic or mechanical fixings are required — the strip is simply pushed into the void to create a friction fit, making it one of the fastest passive fire protection products to install. Typical applications include the top of 100mm masonry walls under a soffit, expansion joints and junctions between ceilings and partition walls.

Installation info:

Select the FSS100/40 strip to close the 40mm gap in the 100mm masonry void. Push the strip firmly into the void to achieve a friction fit, ensuring the mineral wool compresses slightly against the surrounding structure. Butt successive lengths tightly together with no gaps at joints. No adhesive or tape is required.
