  • Description

The ARC Rockfibre Insulated DPC RFDPC165-55 closes a 55mm gap at the window or door reveal in 100mm blockwork masonry construction. Each pack contains 40 x 1200mm lengths. A fully tested, IFC-certificated fire-rated cavity closer (IFCC 1730), it achieves up to four hours fire integrity and two hours fire insulation (EN1366-4) while simultaneously acting as a thermal closer and damp proof course.

Manufactured from non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool (thermal conductivity 0.037 W/mK), the RFDPC165-55 is used with a return block to close the 55mm cavity between the external brickwork and the reveal. A minimum 5mm compression gives two-hour fire integrity; minimum 15mm compression achieves the full four-hour rating. The overall width of 165mm suits 100mm blockwork at this reveal detail.

    Key facts:

    • Gap size: 55mm — block width: 100mm — overall width: 165mm
    • Pack of 40 x 1200mm lengths
    • Third-party certificated by IFC — certificate number IFCC 1730
    • Up to four hours fire integrity and two hours fire insulation (EN1366-4)
    • Non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool — thermal conductivity 0.037 W/mK
    • Used with a return block — minimum 5mm compression for 2hr; 15mm for 4hr rating
    • Combines fire stop, cavity closer and DPC in a single product

For profile-based fire-rated reveals, the ARC Eco-Closer Plus range offers an alternative solution.

    Installation info:

Install during brickwork progression before the window or door frame is fitted. Position the RFDPC165-55 against the inner face of the external brickwork leaf with the integral DPC against the masonry. Achieve a minimum 5mm compression for two-hour fire integrity, or minimum 15mm compression for the four-hour rating. Lap all joints by a minimum of 100mm; butt insulation tightly with no gaps.
