OBEX CORTEX 0500FR Interface Sealing Membrane - 950mm x 20m by Obex Protection

The OBEX CORTEX 0500FR is a fire-classified EPDM-alternative interface sealing membrane achieving a Class B-s3,d0 rating under EN 13501-1. Certified to BBA Certificate No. 17/5396, this 950mm × 20m roll creates reliable weather-tight and air-tight seals around window and door frames, curtain walling systems, SFS sections to concrete frames, parapet wall tops, and balcony details.

At 0.5mm thick, the 0500FR achieves a tensile strength of 2,490 N/50mm (MD) and 2,079 N/50mm (CD), with elongation at break of 28% (MD) and 31% (CD). The membrane passes watertightness testing at 2 kPa and 60 kPa for 24 hours (EN 1928), maintains air tightness of less than 0.1m³ net leakage (EN 12114), and delivers an Sd value of 12m. Cold flexibility is retained to −40°C, and the product carries a Passive House A+ rating.

Apply to clean, dry substrate using OBEX CORTEX 0771FR Paste Adhesive or OBEX CORTEX 0778FR Contact Adhesive. Overlap all joints by a minimum of 150mm and seal with OBEX CORTEX 0531FR Air & Vapour Tape.
