Vista V61-125-STST Timber Frame Tie to Suit a 50mm Cavity - Box of 250 by Vista Engineering

The Vista V61-125-STST Timber Frame Tie is a stainless steel masonry-to-timber wall tie designed to provide structural restraint between a timber frame inner leaf and an outer brick or block leaf in cavity wall construction. It is suitable for domestic and small commercial timber frame buildings up to 15m in height where cavity widths around 50mm are specified.

Manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel, the tie accommodates differential movement between the timber and masonry leaves while maintaining reliable lateral restraint. It has been tested as a Type 6 (strength) and Type B (sound) wall tie in accordance with BS EN 845-1.

Installation info:
Fix the timber frame end of the tie to the timber frame first using the supplied stainless steel annular ring nails or suitable fixings. As the outer masonry leaf is built, bed the free end of the tie into the mortar joint at the required coursing, ensuring correct embedment and that the tie falls slightly towards the outer leaf. Maintain tie spacing in accordance with project specification and relevant standards.
