- Description
The ARC Spandrel Barrier Double SPB50/100D is designed for twin-leaf spandrel assemblies using 100mm blockwork at the party wall head, with a 50mm stalk to locate the barrier in the party wall cavity. A fully tested, IFC-certificated fire barrier (IFCC 1960), it bridges both spandrel leaves simultaneously, providing continuous fire performance across the full width of the twin-panel assembly. Full dimensions: 65/65 x 25/250 x 1200mm. Supplied in a pack of 12 x 1200mm lengths.
Like the single version, the Double Spandrel Barrier is manufactured from non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool (thermal conductivity 0.037 W/mK) and achieves up to 180 minutes fire integrity at the party wall cavity edge and up to 60 minutes between the spandrel panels and blockwork, tested to EN1366-4. Push-fit installation requires no adhesive, mastic or mechanical fixings — the weight of both spandrel panels provides the compression needed to complete the seal.
Key facts:
- Stalk: 50mm — block width: 100mm (twin-leaf spandrel application)
- Dimensions: 65/65 x 25/250 x 1200mm
- Pack of 12 x 1200mm lengths
- Third-party certificated by IFC — certificate number IFCC 1960
- Up to 180 minutes fire integrity at the party wall cavity edge
- Up to 60 minutes fire integrity between spandrel panels and blockwork
- Non-combustible rockfibre mineral wool — thermal conductivity 0.037 W/mK
- Push-fit installation — no adhesive or mechanical fixings required
For single-panel spandrel applications, the ARC Spandrel Barrier SPB100/100 and the ARC T-Barrier Masonry range provides the same IFCC 1960 certification.
Installation info:
Clean and level the top of the party wall blockwork. Push the Double Spandrel Barrier SPB50/100D firmly into the party wall cavity, ensuring it bridges both leaves of the twin-panel assembly. Butt successive lengths tightly with no gaps. Position both spandrel panels on top to provide compression and complete the seal. Handle carefully to avoid damage to the mineral wool.
