- Description
This Ancon Teplo BF2 400mm Wall Tie is a low thermal conductivity wall tie designed for cavity widths of 251–275mm. Made from pultruded basalt fibres, it combines high strength with corrosion resistance while helping reduce heat loss across the cavity.
By minimising thermal bridging, this cavity wall tie improves insulation and supports better energy efficiency in wide cavity wall projects. With a conductivity of 0.7W/mK, it qualifies as a U-value exempt wall tie and is suitable for Passivhaus and other sustainable construction jobs.
Key facts:
- Low thermal conductivity – excluded from U-value calculations
- Suitable for cavity widths of 251–275mm
- Strong basalt fibre construction for durability
- Reduces thermal bridging and heat loss
- Complies with BS EN 845-1
This Ancon wall tie provides secure masonry restraint while contributing to sustainable construction goals. Its balance of efficiency and durability makes it a reliable choice for residential and commercial buildings where insulation and thermal performance are critical.
Installation info:
Install ties at the required spacing. Ensure full embedment in mortar joints for secure performance.
